UG12 – Development of an AI-Enabled Camera Model for Pet Healthcare Monitoring

This project aims to build a camera model capable of detecting pets’ vital signs, including heart rate, temperature, and respiration rate. Achieving this objective requires the utilization of cutting-edge technologies such as computer vision AI modelling and thermal image processing. The proposed camera model offers various applications in the field of pet monitoring and healthcare. By integrating this technology into existing house pet cameras, pet owners can effectively monitor their pets’ activities and assess their overall health status. Furthermore, the camera model provides early detection capabilities for potential diseases, facilitating prompt mitigation of risks and reducing costly treatment expenses in the long run. Through the incorporation of computer vision AI modelling, the camera system can accurately analyze visual data captured from pets. Additionally, thermal image processing enables the detection of temperature variations, enabling the identification of any abnormalities that may indicate underlying health issues. This project aims to revolutionize pet healthcare by providing pet owners and veterinarians with a powerful tool for continuous monitoring and early detection of health concerns. By leveraging advanced technologies, this camera model has the potential to significantly improve the well-being of pets and reduce the burden associated with expensive treatments.
