SS17 – Myopia lentes

According to a 2015 study by Australia’s largest association of optometrists, outdoor light was found to be a major factor in preventing myopia in children. It was found that outdoor light can stimulate eye secretion dopamine, which inhibits abnormal axial growth of eyeballs and prevents myopia from deepening. Myopia lentes are glasses that aims to reduce the risk of increase in myopia in people in all ages, especially in children and teenagers. The glasses implemented a real-time recording of outdoor light that the user is receiving by the use of photoresistor, and a real-time recording the time lapsed and distance between the eyes and the objects they are viewing by the use of distance sensor. Then, based on and the data, send eye protection tips and report feedback to users. Photochromic films have also applied to Myopia lentes that blocks ultraviolet light (UVA and UVB) with a very competitive cost.
