Pedestrians do not know when the traffic lights will switch colors. They may rush across the road, which may cause traffic accidents. Therefore, we plan to add a countdown timer to show how much time is left for the traffic lights to change colors. Thurs, the countdown timer helps pedestrians judge whether there is enough time to cross the road, it also allows drivers to prepare to start driving. This will help to improve both pedestrians’ safety and road use efficiency. Moreover, an LED screen is used to display different information. We plan to make use of different sensors so that pedestrians can know the current time, temperature and humidity while watching the traffic lights. It will make road use more convenient for them.
